Short film ‘Labyrinth’ to screen at US festival

Directed by Shiva Nouri, the short film ‘Labyrinth’ has been selected to vie at the fifth edition of Equinox Women’s Film Festival in the US.

'Labyrinth' is to represent Iran at the Hungarian film event. 

The short has a formalist structure and is the story of a girl and a boy who in their first meeting engage in a strange experience.

Nouri had taken filmmaking courses of Iranian Youth Cinema Society. So far, she has directed two other short films.

The Equinox Women’s Film Festival focuses on the films from different genres and different length which are directed, and/or written by women. Also, the films that highlight a woman’s story are of more interest.

The festival is slated for March 24, 2019.
